A native Houstonian, Justin Garcia grew up knowing that in order to get ahead in life, he had to be able to rely on himself. Art became that reliable venue through which he could harness his creativity. Throughout his early years, Justin embarked on many entrepreneurial endeavors that allowed him the resources to pursue his passion for art while surviving life’s hurdles. Garcia states " my story is no better or worse than others, yet only relative to the experiences themself, as each experience either pulls us or pushes us, both of which lend itself to a choice one must ultimately make. It is only then can an experience be harnessed and controlled for ones purpose."
While attending the Bauer Business School at the University of Houston, Garcia realized his true talents and natural entrepreneurial skills calling him. He made a choice and chose to devote his time and energy to his obsession of creating and soon found himself painting in a small tin storage outside of town for several years as he honed in on his artistic style. Flowing through the process of conceptualization to creation in the middle of the night while working odd end jobs to fuel his research until it was time to make a move. After establishing a threshold of understanding and the realization of an artists sacrifice, Garcia moved is studio to the heart of downtown in the Old Historic art warehouse district. The move sparked a further envelopment into the art hub of Houston and shortly after the process and evolution of his works began to gather recognition among the city.
